About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how brezel.ai Ltd. Liability Company("we", "us") uses cookies on the theBarty website, thebarty.com. It covers the website only; the theBarty desktop app does not use browser cookies.
For the full picture of how we handle personal information, see our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser so it can remember something about you between page loads or visits. First-party cookies are set by the site you are visiting; third-party cookies are set by someone else (typically advertisers) through that site. Browsers also offer localStorage, a similar mechanism for storing data that is not sent to the server with every request.
Cookies we use
thebarty.com uses essential and functional cookies only. There are no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking. The full inventory is two cookies:
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
NEXT_LOCALE | Remembers your language choice (English / العربية) | First-party, functional | Session (deleted when you close your browser) |
barty_invite | Set only when you open an invite link, so the party you were invited to still opens after you install and sign in | First-party, functional | One hour |
Both are set at your request — one by choosing a language, the other by opening an invite someone sent you — and cookies strictly necessary to deliver something you asked for are generally exempt from cookie-consent requirements. That is why you will not find a cookie banner on this site. There is simply nothing to consent to.
Analytics cookies
We do not use analytics or measurement cookies. Our analytics tool (PostHog, EU-hosted — see our Privacy Policy) runs cookie-free: it keeps a random identifier in your browser's localStorage so we can count unique visitors. It is first-party, is never sent to other sites, and you can clear it any time through the same browser controls listed below. If we ever add actual analytics cookies, we will update this policy first and, where required by law, ask for your consent before any such cookie is set.
Third-party cookies
None. The streaming-service logos displayed on this site are static images served by us. They do not load anything from the streaming platforms and do not track you.
Managing cookies
Every major browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Site settings.
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.
One consequence to know about: if you block or delete the locale cookie, your language choice will not persist between visits. The site will fall back to detecting a language on each visit.
Changes to this policy
If our use of cookies changes, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top before the change takes effect.
